
On 12 January co-operatives across the UK - in fact, the world - came together to celebrate the International Year of Co-operatives. There were book launches, photocalls, conferences and a mass of social media activity. Co-operatives UK held a live broadcast with The Guardian, which featured on the Guardian website the following week, along with write-ups and vox pops. You can read a snapshot about it here:
A brand new report was launched illustrating that there are now three times more members of co-operatives than individual shareholders worldwide. The Global Business Ownership 2012 report generated coverage in national, trade, and regional press, as well as BBC Radio 4. You can read about it here.
